Co-operation with Sommer Informatik GmbH

The management of Sommer Informatik and PfB Prüfzentrum für Bauelemente meet to sign the contract

Today marks an important milestone for the companies Sommer Informatik GmbH and PfB GmbH & Co. Prüfzentrum für Bauelemente KG from the Rosenheim area. Both companies have decided to officially join forces and enter into a comprehensive co-operation.

Sommer Informatik is known for the development, distribution and programming of software in the fields of building physics and structural analysis. The company also offers comprehensive support, training and consultancy services for its software products. PfB, a leading competence centre for testing construction elements, is part of the renowned TÜV NORD GROUP and is recognised as an accredited and notified testing, monitoring and certification body.

Combining the expertise of both companies will not only provide long-term support for the companies involved, but also for their customers in the construction industry. As part of this cooperation, Sommer Informatik’s testing centre will validate software products such as GlasGlobal, WinIso 2D and 3D, WINSSLT and WINTHS. At the same time, the existing PfB services for calculating heat transfer coefficients (U-value) will be expanded with software from Sommer Informatik.

The collaboration serves to exchange expertise and experience. Both companies plan to contribute their joint expertise to the development and quality assurance of software for the construction industry. In particular, the experience gained from analogue tests will be of great value for the development of AI-supported test simulations.
