DMT acquires a stake – PfB becomes a TÜV NORD Group company
DMT GmbH & Co. KG, a TÜV NORD GROUP company, has acquired a 51 per cent stake from us.
The transaction took place on 1 December 2022.
Nothing will change for you as our customers. On the contrary: with this investment, both companies are intensifying their long-standing co-operation. At the same time, we will offer you a comprehensive service from a single source in future.
The two previous shareholders of PfB, Rüdiger Müller and Matthias Demmel, will remain involved in the company in the future. Mr Demmel will continue to head the company as Managing Director. In addition, Dr Daniel Rüdiger Müller, the son of our company founder Rüdiger Müller, will join the management team as an authorised signatory. Matthias Demmel will be supported by Dr Christoph
Sinder, who heads the Plant & Product Safety division at DMT. From a technical and organisational perspective, PfB is linked to DMT’s Fire Testing business segment, which is headed by Stefanie Steinmeier.
The decisive factor for us in favour of the transaction was the synergy effects that could be achieved. By combining all of our services, we will be able to offer you, our customers, an even larger testing portfolio in future, while maintaining our independence as a testing and certification centre. It is also important to us that testing is carried out flexibly in line with your needs and in close dialogue with you. We share this aspiration with DMT and the entire TÜV NORD GROUP and are therefore very pleased about the expansion of our cooperation.
As you know, we have more than 40 years of experience in numerous areas of testing such as climate, air/water/wind, permanent function and smoke protection as well as various special tests on building elements such as doors, gates, windows, fittings and facades. We have extensive European and national
national accreditations as well as highly qualified employees, large test halls and open spaces. All of this will remain the same in the future.
We look forward to continuing our co-operation.
