Expansion of site network, new test centre in Verl

The renowned test centres DMT GmbH & Co. KG and PfB GmbH & Co. Prüfzentrum für Bauelemente KG have big plans: They are jointly planning and building a test centre in Industriestraße in Verl. With this step, they are not only expanding their capacities, but also offering manufacturers in the North Rhine-Westphalia region and beyond a central point of contact for all accredited testing services.

For many years, DMT has stood for an experienced and recognised test centre in the areas of fire, smoke and functional testing. PfB Rosenheim, part of the DMT GROUP since the end of 2022, has made a name for itself in the areas of burglary testing, air permeability, driving rain tightness, wind load, climate, thermal simulation and building acoustics.

The range of services is rounded off by the cooperation within the TÜV NORD GROUP with TÜV NORD CERT GmbH, which also offers product certification services.

The cooperation between the testing and certification bodies has created a test centre in Verl that covers all tests relating to the window, door, gate and façade industry.

Other testing procedures in the area of vertical fire resistance testing will also be possible at the new location in future.

The centre will focus in particular on safety and energy developments in buildings and building envelopes of the future. The test centre will enable manufacturers to have all relevant tests carried out at one location. This not only saves time and money, but also enables efficient and comprehensive quality assurance.

The new test centre will be centrally located in the north-east of North Rhine-Westphalia. All known services will continue to be provided at the Lathen and Rosenheim sites and are expected to be supplemented regionally by the test centre in Verl from the end of 2024. As a result, the TÜV NORD GROUP will be able to offer nationwide testing expertise.
