Prüfung Luftdurchlässigkeit

Air permeability

Building elements consist of different materials with different properties. The materials and their properties influence the air permeability.

Testing

When testing air permeability, the building element to be evaluated is mounted in a subframe (steel or wood), the building connection joint is sealed and clamped onto the test stand. It is tested for pressure and suction. Depending on the pressure level, the leakage is determined.

Depending on the type of building element, the air permeability is tested as part of a combination test, air permeability, water tightness against driving rain and wind load.

Roller shutter box:

A roller shutter box is mounted on a test mask, which in turn is installed in an auxiliary frame. The connection joints to the subframe and from the box to the test mask are sealed. The test sample is clamped to the test stand on the subframe. It is tested for pressure and suction.

Execution of operating parts or operating parts of roller shutters, swing shutters and sliding shutters:

At least 5 operating parts or feed-throughs are required for a test. The test samples are mounted in a test mask, which in turn is installed in an auxiliary frame. The connection joints to the subframe and from the control panels or feedthroughs to the test mask are sealed. The test sample is clamped to the test stand on the subframe. It is tested for pressure and suction.

If necessary, the test can also be carried out on external, DAkkS-calibrated test stands on site, at the manufacturer’s premises.
