Fastening elements
Fastening elements create the connection between the building elements mounted in wall openings
and the building structure.
They fix the building element in the wall opening.
Properties
- Movement absorption / mechanical alternating loads
- Mechanical strength
- Resistance to wind load
Further tests for fastening systems are possible on request.
The PfB offers the possibility of testing customer-specific fastening elements with regard to their load-bearing capacity in a wide variety of base bodies. They are used for the static verification of the fastening elements.
The verifications are always specific to the tested system and cannot be transferred to alternative systems without further ado.
The following are examples of tests on fastening systems:
- Pull-out strengths of screw connections in different materials
- Strength of fastening plates or brackets in different materials
- Pull-out strength of strike plate in frame profiles with regard to burglary protection
